Bruce’s TIP OF THE WEEK #99 of 156
Service: phone call etiquette

EMPLOYEES AT GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUBS need to have phone call etiquette when answering and making calls.  Being sincerely pleasant and knowledgeable is a must. Calls are to be answered within three rings. Permission is to be asked before putting the caller on hold and it should not be for more than 30 seconds. If transferring the call to another department employee, inform them what the call is about so the caller does not have to repeat themself. Ability to leave a message and/or be returned to the operator is very important, too.
