A SHOENAMI is a “wave of golf shoes that suddenly hits the locker room, creating an overwhelming amount of shoe-care work in a very short period of time.” This usually happens as part of a member-guest shotgun, pro-am events during professional golf tournaments and when clubs reopen for the season.
HAVING AN ORGANIZED PLAN is the best way to “ride the wave” when 100+ pairs of street and/or golf shoes need to be done. It is best to first separate the shoes by color and do an assembly line type cleaning process. If you plan properly by having enough staff on duty the worked can be grouped into cleaning, washing, drying, applying polish, buffing and returning the shoes back to the lockers. The key to all of this is being prepared.
