SOILED TOWEL DROPS are important to have located throughout the locker room. They make for ease of discarding a used shower towel and can be part of a towel station or a separate unit. The dirty towels are simply dropped into a container. This is also a more sanitary way for the staff to collect and take the soiled towels to the laundry. The container can be a vinyl type basket or a cart on wheels. The most clever towel drop I have seen is one that goes down a shaft straight to the laundry room located in a basement below the locker room. However, if possible, having the laundry room on the same floor as the locker room is more efficient.
