Bruce’s TIP OF THE WEEK #7 of 156 |
AS HARD AS WE TRY something can happen on the job that requires an apology such as not finishing a task on time or forgetting to do so; not choosing one’s words properly; ruining a pair of shoes or mislocating them; being out of stock on a needed item such as golf spikes and shoe laces. THE BEST THING to say is, “I’m sorry.” Then do what it takes to make it right. Especially don’t blame another coworker even if it is their fault. It does not matter. Don’t make excuses. MEMBERS PAY for service; not for them nor their guests to hear excuses. It is best not to ruin an apology with an excuse. |
