THE BEST ADVICE is “visibility is essential” when it comes to the shoe shine room location. The staff needs to see the golfers when they enter and exit the locker room. The golfers need to see the staff as well. HAVING THE SHOE SHINE ROOM inside the locker room is a must rather than in an outside hall; centrally located in the middle of the locker room can be more efficient and save steps for everyone; a parking lot and/or a golf course view helps in seeing golfers before they come inside; near a guest only locker cove makes for more efficient and quicker service. MY PICK for the best overall shoe shine room location I have seen is in the men’s locker room at The Country Club of Hudson in Hudson, OH. Congratulations! |
