THE ONLY THING the morning “opener” attendant should have to do is turn on the lights, check the tee time list and perhaps make coffee. All assigning of guest lockers (with name tags), cleaning, stocking and taking care of shoes has been done the night before by the “closer” attendant.
WHEN A MEMBER OR GUEST arrives in the morning there should be an attendant to greet them, rather than vacuuming or cleaning the bathrooms and showers. Having to do catch up work puts one behind. A daily opening and closing routine must be part of staff training so everything and everyone is prepared and ready to go for another day.
