THE LOCKER ROOM STAFF should not expect nor wait for the members and guests to bring their street and golf shoes to them for cleaning and polishing. Proper service requires that an attendant be “out on the floor” in plain view in order to pick up and return shoes. Unless told otherwise, service includes taking shoes that need attention out of the lockers, too. HOWEVER, SOME GOLFERS like to drop off their street and golf shoes at the shoe room before and after their round. This is done out of consideration for the staff, saving them time and steps. It is not to be considered lack of service but to not allow such would be lack of service. All other shoes are to be returned to the lockers; whether placed inside, in front on the floor or on top unless the golfer prefers to get them on the way out.
