WHETHER WORKING IN THE LOCKER ROOM or any other department of the club, it is wise not to ask a guest, “First time here?” It will save a lot of embarrassment for you should the guest say, “No. I’ve been coming for years.” It will also keep the guest from feeling less than special. If anything, it is safer to ask, “How many times (or years) have you been coming here?” People like to talk about themself. If it is their first time, they will let you know. |
