Staff Training: example of none

MY WIFE POLITELY ASKED the counter person at the fast food restaurant, “How do I use the app?”  The reply given was, “I have no idea.”  Afterwards, just a smile and a silent stare.  My wife then asked, “Is there someone who knows how?” The counter girl called (shouted) for one of the managers but she was too busy and said (shouted) to get the other manager.  When the other manager walked up to us with a frown on her face, I felt like she was not interested.  She said that the app was not working. No apology either. However, to my surprise, she asked what we were trying to purchase and gave us the deal anyway, now with a smile.  Her doing so helped make up some for the counter person’s lack of staff training.

THE MAIN POINT of this TIP OF THE WEEK is to help prevent a similar response from a new employee as shown in this staff training example of none.
