TUZIK’S BAKERY |
END OF AN ERA BUT NOT MEMORIES by Bruce Barilla |
Started in 1931 by Polish immigrants, 3rd generation Theodore “Ted” Tuzik along with his business partner and brother-in-law, Bill Love, continued this American neighborhood tradition of “going to the bakery.” But because not everyone is replaceable; not wanting to chance tarnishing the product quality reputation by selling the business; with sincere gratitude to the “family” of customers; a decision was made to permanently close the business. I will miss my friend, Ted; and I will miss eating the best chocolate doughnuts I ever had as well. Sad to say, I feel as if a part of America has died, too. |
Thank you, Tuzik’s. May God bless you as you have been such a blessing to so many others. |
